ALPINE WHITE products have been developed in collaboration with Swiss dentists and are based on a unique formula with very effective ingredients.
The gentle whitening of the teeth is provided by Phthalimidoperoxycaproicacid, or PAP for short. PAP is a gentler alternative to the sometimes aggressive bleaching agents used in many bleaching products. PAP has been proven to effectively whiten teeth without harming the inner or outer tooth structure. This allows for whiter teeth without compromising dental health. Alpine White uses this active whitening ingredient in all active teeth whitening/bleaching products.
Alpine White products also contain Hydroxylapatite. This mineral is already found in natural teeth and strengthens and repairs the tooth. Our whitening formula contains a synthetically produced form of hydroxyapatite. This provides the teeth with the minerals that were previously affected by whitening. This active ingredient strengthens and builds up the protective layer of the enamel, allowing the tooth to retain its natural shine.
Potassium nitrate is also used in our Alpine White formula. This active ingredient ensures that the nerves in the teeth react less sensitively. It desensitises and significantly reduces the pain sensitivity of the teeth. This happens when potassium ions accumulate, which reduce the irritability of the tooth nerves. Your teeth benefit from its soothing and protective effects. Potassium nitrate is used in high quality Whitening Toothpastes.
The whitening process of the teeth ultimately takes place through the decolourisation of the tooth enamel. This is done through what is called oxidation, which is the process of active oxygen acting on pigments stored in it. It only affects the colour pigments, but not the tooth enamel, which consists of about 96% mineral, inorganic hydroxide apatite substance. The enamel is not attacked and does not become thinner, weaker or negatively affected in any way. This is why Alpine White's whitening formula is so effective and so tooth damaging.
